handmade gifts part two - animal friends

I made the sheep first because I had this amazingly soft furry fabric. (I also used it for the mouse blanket.) Then I decided she needed some friends.

handmade gifts part one - mouse house

I made this little mouse house for Saya. The small case is from Target--it was plain and I decorated it. (I didn't make the mouse. I splurged on a Maileg mouse. I love their toys so much.) I made a little quilt, pillow and blanket. Finally I bought another small paper box for $1 and painted the top to look like a table. Inside the box can store little foods and accessories for the mouse.

Our Christmas tree looks and smells so pretty. I love evenings in front of a sparkly tree.

I added some Christmas friends to Saya's doll house.

Here is Saya's Christmas list for the year (front and back).  I love celebrating Christmas with my sweet daughter. I have been making her some handmade gifts that I will post about tomorrow.

christmas time

I am finally able to start with Christmas preparations now that I've finished my last craft fair for the season. I am so happy. I am doing a little decorating, and planning to make handmade gifts for Saya. I will post more soon.

giant rubber duck

When Saya had a day off of school I took her to see the giant rubber duck in Pittsburgh. We had a really fun day. We also went to the Andy Warhol Museum because she had never been before, but we weren't allowed to take pictures there.

love these two

I have been sick for the past few days and feeling really bad. These two have been so sweet to me. I want to give them lots of hugs and cuddles, but I am staying away, so I don't get them sick. I hope they stay healthy.

cozy at home

I live for days when I get to spend the whole day at home with my family. My daughter likes those kind of days too.  Our house is very cozy. I recently did a thorough cleaning and organizing.  We can never keep it perfectly tidy, buy it is comfortable.
